How do I navigate my - Nomination Approvals Page

Modified on Wed, 05 Jul 2023 at 05:32 PM

If you have been designated as a user with Approver Permissions (this is usually a manager, supervisor, or other employee with direct reports), on the top menu of the My Feed tab, there will be a button that you can click to see submitted nominations that are awaiting your approval.

The most important pieces of information that you can verify on this page include:

  • How many nominations are currently pending your approval?
  • Who is the person that was nominated for an award?
  • Who nominated the potential recipient of this award.
  • When the nomination was submitted.
  • What is the award level and point value associated with the nomination?
  • How long do you have to provide feedback on any pending nomination before it is escalated? (Result of escalation is defined by the company but could result in auto-escalation, auto-approval, or auto-rejection.
  • There is an option to bulk-select all pending nominations at the bottom if you intend to take the same action for each pending nomination.

If you click on any of the pending nominations, you will be sent to a screen where you will be able to see in details of the nomination. These details include:

  • The message that will be included to the recipient (written by the nominator) will be included on the certificate if the nomination is approved.
  • A message to the approvers (written by the nominator) that explains why the recipient is deserving of the nomination award.
  • The up-to-date award history. If the nomination has several levels of approval, it is possible that during the approval process, the nomination was changed in some way. You as the approver, can see what has occurred with this nomination.

At the bottom of the screen, you can select to approve or reject the nomination. If you reject the nomination, there is a follow-up screen where you can provide an optional explanation for the rejection.
